Polhemus
The industry standard for accurate 6DOF tracking in real time
A proven tool for professional motion tracking
The Polhemus Fastrak system has established itself in industry as a reliable tool for motion tracking and has set the standard for other trackers. It is ideal for professionals in research, simulation, medicine and robotics who need accurate, reliable and repeatable tracking. the proprietary Electromagnetic AC Technology Provides real-time position and orientation with virtually no latency. Since the system is based on this technology, there is no need for a visual link for continuous tracking.
The special strength of Fastrak lies in its proven reliability and versatility. Not only is it a precise motion tracking system, but it can also be expanded to a powerful 3D digitizer with an optional stylus. The ability to use up to four sensors at the same time makes it a flexible solution for a wide range of applications.
Our range of sensors offers precise tracking solutions for a wide range of applications. The Micro Sensor 1.8T™ With 1.8mm diameter and under one gram weight as well as the versatile Standard Sensor (RX2) With integrated attachment points, the basis of our product line.
For special requirements we offer the Flat-Sided Mini (RX1-C) with streamlined design and Teardrop Mini (RX1-D) for finger tracking. The Earless RX2 Suitable for embedded applications, Flying Lead RX2 For own switch integration.
The Viper™ FT Sensors are specially developed for the Viper system. All sensors are compatible with Liberty™, Patriot™, G4™ and FastRak® systems.
Our transmitter series offers optimized solutions for different tracking ranges and application areas. The Short Ranger (TX1) is a miniature source for precise tracking in small areas from 1 to 24 inches, ideal for detailed close-range applications.
The 2" source (TX2) Serves as our standard solution, which comes with most Polhemus systems and covers a reliable range of 3 to 60 inches. For advanced applications, the 4" source (TX4) An impressive range of 1 to 7 feet and is often used in biomechanics and golf swing analysis.
Thanks to identical mounting holes to the TX2, the TX4 is easy to replace and enables flexible system configurations depending on the project requirements.
The 3" and 8" stylus options Transform FastRak®, Liberty™ and Patriot™ systems into precise free-form digitizers for CAD, graphics and custom applications. The hand/foot switch Allows the smooth capture of data points without unwanted movement of the stylus tip.
